How to Spot a LOVEDOG in the Wild

There’s more to it than the bow.

There are a few ways to recognize a LOVEDOG in the wild.

First, there is very likely a fabulous dog involved. This narrows it down to absolutely nothing. We think they’re all fabulous.

Look a little closer.

You might see a vintage floral print mixed with a checkerboard. A stripe paired with something completely unexpected. Everything works together to tell a story, creating a cohesive look where each piece complements the others. At LOVEDOG, we don’t really make matching sets. We build wardrobes.

Our collections are created from different patterns, textures, and prints that are tied together by color and a shared point of view. They’re meant to be mixed, collected, and worn together in ways that feel a little unexpected.

Our hope is that eventually you’ll recognize a LOVEDOG before you ever see our name.

But here’s the part we really want you to recognize.

When you see a dog wearing LOVEDOG, we want it to tell you something about the human walking beside them, too.

It says:

I love my dog deeply. But my love for dogs doesn’t stop with my own.

That’s the idea LOVEDOG was built around.

There’s something we’ve noticed about dog people: we don’t only care about our own dogs.

We notice the dog wandering near the road.

We share the lost-dog post.

We stop when we see a dog alone in a hot car.

We make room for the frightened rescue dog who needs a little more patience.

We donate. We foster. We adopt. We speak up. Sometimes we simply pay attention when it would be easier not to.

We look out for each other’s dogs.

And in a world where it’s very easy to decide that something isn’t our problem, we think that’s a pretty beautiful social contract to make with one another.

That’s what we want LOVEDOG to become a tiny visual beacon for.

Yes, the bow is beautiful. The fabrics are beautiful. We obsess over those things because we believe something meaningful can also be ridiculously good-looking. (See what I did there? IYKYK)

But underneath all of it is a simple promise:

When your dog wears LOVEDOG, you’re part of a community of people who believe every dog deserves to be looked out for, not just the one sleeping on your bed tonight.

That’s why we host rescue events, support rescue organizations, and find different ways to give back whenever we can. Because looking out for dogs isn’t something we want to simply talk about. It’s something we want to practice, beautifully.

And there’s one more clue: LOVEDOG is opening a pop-up kiosk on October 1st at Kierland Commons, and our Halloween collection will be making an appearance. More details coming soon. We can’t wait to see you there.

So someday, when two LOVEDOGs pass each other on the street, maybe their humans will recognize something in each other, too.

You love your dog. You look out for mine. And together, we look out for all of them.

That’s how you recognize a LOVEDOG.

The bow is just the first clue.

But LOVE is what they wear, because  just a dog accessory was never the plan.
